Removing birds with one-way exclusion funnels

While a bird is more of a nuisance than anything else, the truth is that these animals can pose a serious risk to you and your family. The pigeon is the carrier of a number of diseases and parasites, which can pose a risk to you, your family, and your pets. You also have to worry about the fact that these animals travel in large groups. This means that if you have one pigeon around your home, it is likely that you could have dozens or hundreds within a very short period of time. The amount of waste they leave behind can be disgusting to say the least, plus they can do damage to the side of your home.

One concern that many people have is that a group of pigeons may find their way into the attic, walls, or other part of the home. It is difficult to try to get them out, because these animals live in such large groups. Trying to get them to all leave at the same time is not the easiest task, and this is where a one-way exclusion funnel proves to be the best alternative to remove birds, way more effective than using a trap. If you have not seen one of these before, how a one-way exclusion funnel works is simple. Where you begin is by doing a search around your home to find the location where the pigeons are coming in and out of your house. The truth is that it some point they are going to leave your home to find food and water, and this is when you are going to have your opportunity to get rid of them.

To do so, you need to find out where the birds are getting in. Do a search around your home to find a crack, loose board, hole, or some other problem that can create an entry into your house. Once you have found that, don't just stop there. Ensure that this is the only location where they are getting in. If there is more than one spot then you need to close up all the other options with the exception of one. Next, place the one-way exclusion funnel tightly against the area that they are using to get in and out. Make sure that it is secure and not easily removed.

Now, all you have to do, is let the exclusion funnel do its job. At some point the birds are going to start to try to get outside of the house and they will head down the exclusion funnel. Once outside, the door will close behind them and they will be unable to get back in. Within a matter of a few days your entire problem should be resolved. Once you are sure that all the birds are out, remove the exclusion funnel, seal the areas where they were getting in, and prepared to do a great hill of cleanup. Your birds are gone, but not their waste.
